Hatibu Mohamed Kigoda is the Founder and Executive Director of The Connected Aid, a visionary and resilient leader dedicated to serving vulnerable communities with passion and purpose.He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Jordan University College . He also undertook training in Clinical Medicine at Hisani Health Institute, where he completed part of the diploma program , gaining valuable exposure to community health and primary care practice.His leadership journey began in 2015 in the remote hamlet of Madala , where he spearheaded the acquisition of a 4-acre plot of land with the vision of establishing a Community Education and Support Center . At the time, the land was wild and uninhabited bushland with harsh environmental conditions.As one of seven courageous young men who initiated the project, he camped in the wilderness for ten days in a temporary plastic tent despite severe weather conditions. Together, they molded over 1,500 mud bricks and laid the foundation for what would become a transformative community center.In 2017, heavy rains destroyed much of their early construction work. However, under his determined leadership, the team refused to give up. They returned with renewed strength and rebuilt the center using timber and earth. By 2018, the first phase of the Community Education and Support Center was successfully completed — marking a major milestone in the growth of The Connected Aid.
With his background in economics and foundational training in clinical medicine, he integrates financial sustainability, community development, and health awareness into the organization’s programs.He believes in youth empowerment, integrity, accountability, and purpose-driven leadership, with a vision of ensuring equitable access to education, health, and sustainable opportunities for marginalized communities.
